Dr. Chai is a psychiatrist specializing in adult and geriatric psychiatry. She sees patients for medication management while working with patients to craft personalized holistic treatment plans. She has worked with patients from diverse backgrounds in various settings including academic institutions, county clinics, home-based care, and the Veterans Administration Hospital. She is board-certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, and board-eligible in Geriatric Psychiatry.
Dr. Chai completed her undergraduate studies at Amherst College in Massachusetts. She received her medical and graduate degrees from the University of California, Los Angeles. She then completed her psychiatry residency at the Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior at UCLA during which she served as the Research Track Chief for two years. She then continued at UCLA to complete her fellowship in geriatric psychiatry. She has received training in TMS, ECT, cognitive behavioral therapy, and psychodynamic psychotherapy.
