Jennifer Bieler is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. She earned her B.S. in Psychology with Honors from St. Mary’s College of California and her Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Southern California (USC). She is the co-chair at the Women’s Association for Addiction Treatment in Orange County and is a member at the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (CAMFT).

 

Jennifer excels at the treatment of depression, anxiety, relationship and love issues, trauma, addictions and eating disorders. She worked at the Community Family Guidance Center in Cerritos, where she specialized in parenting groups and family therapy. She was trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy and “Strengthening Families” therapy. She has training in “problematic sexual behaviors” from the Society for the Advancement for Sexual Health (SASH), which is where she furthered a focus in treating love and relationship issues. Jennifer started her career at the Clare Foundation Treatment Center in Santa Monica, California and the Los Angeles LGBT Center, where she gained experience treating both mental health and substance abuse issues. She has experience treating addictions and eating disorders in residential, intensive outpatient, and private practice settings. She has training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), a treatment for borderline personality disorder, and has experience practicing both adherent DBT as well as DBT-informed individual and group psychotherapy at different treatment centers. Jennifer has been trained in the Trauma Resiliency Model (TRM) and currently in the certification process.

 

She integrates complementary methodologies and techniques to offer a highly personalized approach uniquely tailored to each client. With her eclectic approach, weaving mindfulness therapy into the fabric of her treatment style, she is able to work individually with clients to help them build on their strengths and attain personal growth they are committed to accomplishing. She is determined to help her clients reach their full potential and have a life worth living.

 

Jennifer conducts two ongoing group therapies at Mental Health Center:

  1. Young Adult Women’s Process Group.
  2. DBT-Informed Skills Group for Adults.
