Physician Spotlight In today’s physician spotlight we highlight Dr. Vicki Kalira. Dr. Vicki Kalira is a talented psychiatrist who is board certified in both Addiction and General Psychiatry. She has robust experience working in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Her multifaceted clinical approach incorporates medication, psychotherapy, nutrition, physical movement and social engagement at different stages of treatment, always focusing on self-compassion. About Dr. Vicki Kalira Dr. Vicki Kalira completed medical school at West Virginia University and her psychiatry residency at Johns Hopkins University. After completing a one-year addiction psychiatry fellowship at New York University (NYU), she supported hospitalized patients at NYU-Tisch Hospital as a Consultation-Liaison Psychiatrist. Here, her focus centered around providing care to patients with complex medical and psychiatric comorbidities who were experiencing acute intoxication or withdrawal states. Dr. Winthrop is a board-certified psychiatrist specializing in general adult psychiatry and geriatric psychiatry.  About Dr. Miriam Winthrop Dr. Winthrop believes in taking a holistic approach to addressing mental health. In addition to her expertise in the use of medications, she has extensive training in multiple types of psychotherapy, including cognitive-behavioral and insight-oriented modalities. Dr. Winthrop has extensive experience working with a wide range of issues, including depression, anxiety, PTSD, OCD, dementia-related concerns, and end-of-life issues. Dr. Winthrop completed her undergraduate education at Dartmouth College and received her medical degree from the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California. He has a particular interest in the treatment of severe mental illness and adolescents with addiction issues. Dr. Daniel Son completed his medical degree at Loma Linda University and completed his Psychiatry residency and fellowships at the University of Louisville. Dr. Lydia Ann is our newest psychiatrist specializing in general adult psychiatry and geriatric psychiatry, as she is a current geriatric psychiatry fellow at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).  Her vast experience in both inpatient and outpatient, hospital and emergency settings, correctional settings, and crisis residential programs has equipped her with robust knowledge and experience. Her clinical approach is integrative in that she views a patient’s support system as integral to the treatment process, emphasizing individualized care for each of her patients.  About Dr. Lydia Ann.
